Terms and Conditions

Our website has a comprehensive range of information that will help you make an informed decision concerning the training we provide.

This student agreement contains general information regarding the services we provide. Course specific information is located on our website for each specific course. The course specific information will provide you an indication of what is in the course and the assessments required, as well as vocational outcomes. 

​

Unique Student Identifier (USI) The Unique Student Identifier is a National Government initiative for all students from 1st January 2015. Your USI account will contain all of your nationally recognised training records and results completed from 1st January 2015 onwards. This will assist when you are commencing employment with a new employer or if you are commencing study with a new training organisation. Every student from January 1 2015 is required to provide Worth First Aid Training with a verified USI before we can issue any certification. For further information on what a USI is and how this number will affect you please refer to the Worth First Aid Training website, or to the USI website: https://www.usi.gov.au/

Enrolment Enrolment and admission into some of Worth First Aid Training courses are subject to meeting certain prerequisite conditions. Specific details of the prerequisites pertaining to these training courses are contained in individual course documentation and are made available prior to enrolment. All course information is located on our website. In the case that a potential student does not meet the prerequisite conditions, we will endeavour to assist you in understanding your options regarding meeting the standards. The course fee may be paid direct to the trainer, with no further enrolment fees required to be paid to Worth First Aid Training in this case. Course Fees Each qualification, unit of competency or course offered by Worth First Aid Training and or a third-party delivering training on their behalf has a specific course fee. The course fee is the maximum fee that may be charged to the student for their selected course. Course fees are set at competitive rates and will be advised prior to the enrolment in a course. These fees may vary from course to course.

All fees will be paid according to the fee structure provided prior to enrolment. It is our policy that the course fee will be all-inclusive. Students will not be 'surprised' by unexpected requirements, fees or expenses. 

 

Where additional resources normally associated with a program of study are required (e.g. reference material, research documents, own computer) the student will be clearly advised of exactly what is required in the course materials or enrolment confirmation for the program. There are no additional fees associated with your training, except for cancellation fees or replacement of resources.

Payments

 

All payments are final and payments are non-refundable.

​

Prior to receiving the course information for a Worth First Aid Training MHFA online course, payment is non-refundable, however the course fees can be transferred to another participant for a Worth First Aid Training online course enrolment for period of time up to 90 days from the original payment date.

​

Course fees are due and payable at the time of enrolment unless otherwise negotiated. No Statement of Attainment or Qualification will be issued until full and final payment has been received.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Refresher courses

​

When booking into a MHFA Refresher course participants are responsible in ensuring that they didn’t complete a MHFA Refresher course in gaining their current MHFA certificate.

When booking into a MHFA Refresher course participants are responsible in ensuring they are booking in for the correct type of MHFA Refresher course.

To become re-accredited with the Standard MHFA accreditation participants are required to book into a Standard MHFA Refresher course.

To become re-accredited with the Youth MHFA accreditation participants are required to book into a Youth MHFA Refresher course.

When booking into MHFA Refresher courses participants are responsible in ensuring their current certificate will be in date on the date of the booked course.

If a participant has a 12-hour MHFA certificate which is past the expiry date the participant is required to email mhfa@mhfa.com.au to request an extension to attend a MHFA Refresher course.

Course fees are not refundable if payment is received for a MHFA Refresher course and the participant is ineligible for reaccreditation by attending a MHFA Refresher course.

Refund Policy and Cancellation​

 

When an applicant accepts a place offered by Worth First Aid Training and pays the fees, it means a binding contract is created between the student and Worth First Aid Training. Notification of cancellation/withdrawal from unit/s of competency and/or any rescheduling from a course of study must be made in writing to Worth First Aid Training. In the case of cancellation/withdrawal/non-attendance or reschedule from a course of study the following cancellation/withdrawal/non-attendance and rescheduling terms will apply:

Rescheduling

Worth First Aid Training rescheduling terms are only available for Worth First Aid Training's Mental Health First Aid online courses.

​​​Rescheduling is only permitted to another Worth First Aid Training Mental Health First Aid online course and is subject to availability.

Rescheduling with no additional fee is available when the rescheduling request is received via email no less than 14 calendar days prior to the course booking date.

Rescheduling with no additional fee to an equivalent course is only permitted once per enrolment.

Where a rescheduling request is received via email less than 14 calendar days prior to the course booking date a rescheduling fee of $29 applies.

Failure to attend a rescheduled course and to re-schedule to a further date the Cancellation/Withdrawal/Non-attendance rescheduling fee applies and is subject to availability.

For a private courses, once the course information has been sent to participants, any rescheduling of the scheduled booking date 21 calendar days prior to the booking date results in a rescheduling fee of $49 per participant.

Cancellation/Withdrawal/Non-attendance

When there is a cancellation/withdrawal/non-attendance from a Mental Heath First Aid course, the Cancellation/Withdrawal/Non-attendance fee applies.

When there is a cancellation/withdrawal/non-attendance from a 2-day private face to face course, course fees are forfeited.

​

Booking into a future course after Cancellation/Withdrawal/Non-attendance is only permitted to another Worth First Aid Training Mental Health First Aid online course and is subject to availability.

Where a participant is contacted to check attendance on the day of training after the course start time and the participant does not attend a  fee of $119 applies to book into a future course.

​Where there is non-attendance from any Worth First Aid Training course a fee of $119 applies to book into a future course.

​

Worth First Aid Training reserves the right to cancel, postpone or re-schedule courses.

Worth First Aid Training reserves the right to change course fees, dates, content, trainers or method of presentation at its discretion.

If a Worth First Aid Training course is cancelled, postponed or rescheduled an opportunity to reschedule to another Worth First Aid Training course will be offered, or, a refund excluding any transferrable eLearning component cost and/or the manual component cost and any credit card/administration fee, which are all non-refundable.*

*Refunds are not offered if any Worth First Aid Training course booked into is cancelled, postponed or rescheduled due to a Mental Health First Aid Australia policy.
